Q & A With Centurion Homes

Q: "Any thoughts on a laminate or similar wood looking hard floor in a basement?"

A: "When doing a wood floor in a basement an engineered wood will perform better than a laminate but neither one will withstand high volumes of moisture very well. Engineered wood is produced in wood ply that is glued and compressed in opposing directions which gives it great strength but allows for flexibility to withstand temperature/humidity fluctuation."

Bathroom Remodel

Centurion Homes was hired to be the General Contractor on this bathroom remodel.  It was a quick job to demo and bring this old bathroom back to life.  We added a jetted tub, cultured marble shower surround, tile floors, new vanity, fixtures, walls and a fresh coat of paint.  If you are thinking about freshening up your bathroom, we can typically be in and out within a week.  Leaving you and your holiday guests to enjoy a crisp new bath.

1970's Cabin Renovation

Centurion Homes was excited to be the Utah General Contractor on this 1970's cabin renovation. The updating included new electrical wiring, water lines, plumbing, exterior and a complete overhaul on the interior as well.  We also moved a workshop, which was built right next to the cabin. After pouring a garage foundation we moved the entire workshop to create a wonderful two story garage.  It was a fun project and very challenging at such a high elevation.  The cabin turned out beautiful!

The old exterior was a hunter green siding. Sorry no before picture - but as you can see, it has a much cozier feel with the new log siding with slate accent.

Orem Renovation

Centurion Homes was hired as the Utah General Contractor on this Orem rental property.  The owner was unable to rent the house in the condition it was in.  We were hired to bring this old rambler up to date while spending as little as possible.  We were able to make a big impact on a small budget.  The house turned out so great that the owner was able to rent it within a week of it's completion.  Think of Centurion Homes to update your rental and attract A+ tenants.  If you don't have the budget to renovate the entire property we can work with key areas of the house that will give you the biggest bang for your buck.

Carterville Road Remodel

This brick rambler was in dire need of a remodel.  There were issues with the roof that had created water damage inside the house. It also had a bathroom that had been unfinished for many years. Centurion Homes was hired as the Utah General Contractor to do a total overhaul. We put in new windows throughout, fixed all the structural problems, replaced the roof, added soffit and fascia and completely remodeled the interior.  This house turned out great and our clients were involved throughout the entire process.  This job came in on time and on budget.  Enjoy the before and after photos and call us for your next remodel job.
